Bowral Street Dental Practice is seeking a dedicated and friendly Dental Assistant Trainee to join their well‑established and growing practice in Bowral.
This is a part‑time position, offering 3–4 days per week, with weekday availability required only.
As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our dental team and ensuring our patients receive exceptional care in a welcoming and professional environment.
About the Role:
- Assisting the dentist during procedures, including instrument handling, suctioning, and maintaining a clear working area
- Sterilising and preparing instruments and equipment between patients
- Greeting patients, taking impressions, and completing basic clinical tasks
- Maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date patient records
- Ensuring the practice is clean, organised, and well‑stocked
- Providing outstanding customer service throughout each patient’s visit
About You:
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar healthcare role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately
- Confidence using dental equipment and software (training provided if required)
- A friendly, caring, and patient‑focused attitude
- Commitment to infection control standards and patient safety
- Valid Australian work rights or appropriate work visa
